The 2005 Barbaresco Riserva Montefico is another overachiever in this vintage. Powerful and incisive, the Montefico offers an intriguing combination of depth, tannic grip and overall intensity. Dark cherry, plum, smoke, licorice, menthol and tar wrap around the potent finish. With air, the 2005 can be enjoyed now, but it has enough depth to drink well for a number of years.
