A drop-dead gorgeous beauty, the 2010 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione is laced with expressive dark red cherry, plum, smoke, tobacco, mint and licorice. There is a lot going on in the glass. The 2010 boasts exceptional purity in its flavors, along with superb textural elegance and phenomenal overall balance. What a gorgeous wine this is. I imagine the 2010 will drink nicely for many years, but it could use more time in bottle. In 2010, Ama did not bottle their single-vineyard selections. All the best fruit went here.
