Deepish red/purple colour. Fragrant and lifted, fresh and perfumey with a touch of the 2010 vintage character - star anise. Very intense and tight on the palate; firm and structured, taut and long. Still very young and needs age. Has the intensity, concentration and power of great Clare cabernet, but not 'bigness'. On the contrary, it has elegance. A very, very impressive wine with a minimum 40-year lifespan. 31 JUL 2013
