Medium red/purple, very fresh looking colour. Spicy red fruit aromas with an underlay of parsnip. Dried herbs later. The palate is bold and fresh and young, with a thread of acidity running through, A firm, tight, slightly tannic wine, which seemed to put on more flesh the longer it aired. Dense yet supple Pinot Noir with a silken texture. Dark fleshed plum and black cherry flavours with a suggestion of violets together with wood smoke and spice flavours. Very classy wine with power delivered with consummate subtlety 03 APR 2013
