It takes time to be coaxed forward and therefore, especially if drinking it young, can use a decant. It's a substantial wine but a well-balanced one, with black cherry, plum and undergrowth flavours given a thorough infusion by toasty, (dark) chocolatey oak. Tannin is ultra fine and length doesn't disappoint. It almost feels old school, but in a well polished way.
