The 2013 growing season has produced deeply coloured wines, characterised by their richness, weight and power. Made from a blend of 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot and 19% Pinot Noir.
The varietal batches of fruit were wild-fermented separately, pressed to hogsheads for 12 months élevage, then racked and the 3 wines blended together for a further 8 months barrel maturation. Blackcurrant, tobacco, leaf mulch and savoury meat characters. A dense palate with cassis, licorice and black olive flavours all kept in check with a long line of fine powdery tannins.
