This uses grapes from young vines on the Graveyard Vineyard and declassified wine from other original estate vines, matured in French oak. An entry point wine at $50! My, times have changed (the first Brokenwood vintage was less than $3), but this is undeniably very complex, shouting its Hunter Valley terroir from the rooftops. It has a diamond-cut angularity to its mouthfeel common to all of the ?13 Brokenwood Shirazs.
