Here too there is noticeable wood serving as a backdrop for the menthol and extract of black point fruit aromas. There is a distinctly earthy character to the solidly dense and muscular middle weight flavors that are serious and mildly austere with a trace of backend rusticity. I like the balance of the mouth coating flavors though I underscore that this isn't an elegant and lacy example of the appellation.
