This wine is made from 100% Nebbiolo sourced from Treiso, Neive and Barbaresco villages in Piemonte. The grapes used are, according to the Piemonte appellation, not suitable for making Barbaresco as amongst them are newly planted vineyards bought in the past few years, and consequently considered too young for producing a great Barbaresco.
Ageing is made partly in barrique (20/30%) and the rest in 50 hl oak barrels for around 8/9 months. After blending, it rests in the bottle for 2 months and finally available for sale.
The wine is clear and bright with purple red hues. The nose is persistent and fragrant showing strawberry and raspberry typical of this wine.
The palate is classic with light tannin astringency of Nebbiolo, very well rounded by wood aromas and other flavour components.
