Light, delicately scented pinot noir with floral/violet, red cherry and spicy oak flavours. A supple, charming wine that can be enjoyed now. Silken-textured and showing good purity.
Bob Campbell MW The Real Review
Mata-Au (the Maori name for the Clutha River) is a blend of fruit from Chard Farm’s four estate vineyards. New oak has been reduced to just 20% to boost flavour purity. Elegant Pinot Noir with appealing purity and subtle power. Red and black cherry with a suggestion of spice supported by nutty oak. Good length of flavour. Linear, accessible wine.
