‘The 2014 Lirac is a smoking wine, and when I did more tastings at the syndicate in Lirac, this cuvee always stood out for its purity and elegance. Made from 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre, it offers plenty of substance and depth in its crème de cassis, blackberry, pepper and wet rock-like minerality. Medium-bodied, perfectly balanced, pure and streamlined, it’s ideal for drinking on release and over the following 5-8 years.’
