James Stewart Johnston, a member of the Victorian Parliament, and a prominent Melbourne businessman, originally planted vines at Craiglee in 1863.
Patrick Carmody has been the custodian of Craiglee since the 1970s and continues to make wine from Estate grown fruit, and is assisted by his wife Dianne and sons, as well as the constant companionship of loyal dogs Coco and Bessie.
The 2014 Viognier shows intense aromatics. The palate is creamy and moderately viscous with apricot, glazed orange and gingery spices. Fresh lemony acidity with a touch of wet stone on the finish
