Margaret River again experienced stella vintage in 2014. Warm, sunny and mild with ocean breeze typified the growing season. Chardonnay grapes showed truly exceptional bright stone fruit flavours, natural vibrant acidity and soft fine phenolics. The wine was matured for 9 months in 40% new French Oak barriques and 60% in one and two year old French oak barriques.
The resultant wine is pale straw green. The nose shows a lovely balanced of lemon cake, pink grapefruit and stone fruit.
The palate is supple and succulent. Lemon and white nectarine flavours are layered with creamy nougat phenolics. Excellent mineral acidity drives a persistent and refreshing finish. Drink now to 2025.
