The wood treatment is no longer subtle and while it doesn't fight with the ripe and fresh dark berry, floral, earth and tea-scented aromas, I'm not 100% sure that there won't always be a trace of wood in evidence as this ages. Otherwise there is excellent richness to the full-bodied, muscular and concentrated flavors where the abundant dry extract imparts a velvety mouth feel to the powerful yet refined finale. Drink 2026+.
