The Glaetzer family has been a part the Barossa Valley and its viticulture history since 1888. After 30 years in winemaking, Colin Glaetzer established the family winery to create wines he’s passionate about – limited quantities of benchmark Barossa Valley reds. Today, son Ben carries on with this winemaking tradition with Glatzer wines.
All the fruit for Anaperrena comes from Ebenezer, Barossa Valley sub-region. Seamless fusion of Shiraz and Cabernet the 2014 Anaperenna is opaque purple colour.
The striking nose displays blueberry, casis and coffee bean flavours combined with tremendous depth and purity of dark fruits.
With 76% Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon the rest palate shows fine grained tannins supported by dark cherries and cedar spiced undertones. Aged in French (92%) and American (8%) hogsheads this wine will mature very well over the next 20 years.
