The 2014 Beaune 1Er Cru les Theurons has a pastille-like purity on the nose -- blackcurrant and bilberry fruit, a little more introverted than its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe tannin, dense in the mouth, minerally and grippy with good persistence on the finish. This is an excellent Beaune Premier Cru from Jadot.
