Full red colour with a tint of purple. The aromas are of dark cherry and dark plum, with a notable whiff of almond-like oak, and it seems fairly 'straight', without much (if any) whole-bunch character. Some cedary oak notes. A bold, medium to full-bodied palate with intensity and drive, at the expensive of textural softness and fleshiness. Bold, true, but a little clinical. 02 DEC 2016
