Sourced from several elevated sites throughout the Barossa & Eden Valleys, the Struie reflects the cooler side of the region and showcases the subtle nuances that are gained from hillside viticulture.
The 2014 vintage benefitted from a cooler period in mid-February, resulting in longer ripening periods and relatively low yields providing fruit with good concentration and depth.
The Eden Valley component retained its perfect natural balance and the lifted bouquet enhances this unique wine style. The harmonious combination of both regions has delivered a wine with plentiful dark fruit characters and aromatic notes.
Dense spice, nuances of plum, black olive, lavender and opulent cherry characters all further enhance the natural elegance and persistence of the fruit quality.
The 2014 Struie will certainly age gracefully well into the next decade
