2014 Tyrrells Special Release Shiraz, Hunter Valley

Tyrrell's Special Release is reserved for unique parcels of fruit that in a particular vintage have those qualities and point of difference to warrant being bottled and released on their own.

The vineyard blocks used from this are predominately from Weinkeller vineyard, which in many years previously had gone into the Vat 9 blend. A tiny amount of Stevens Shiraz was used to top up the blend.

Bright purple in colour. Fresh savoury spice and lifted red berry nose, with a subtle oak lift. A concentrated palate showing red fruits with subtle oak that enhances the mid palate, which is extended by the fine clean acid structure.
