Cerasuolo is the only Sicilian DOCG wine. Feudi del Pisciotto Cerasuolo is the first to be awarded the Gambero Rosso 3 Glasses. It is a wine of great personality obtained from the vinification of Frappato and Nero d'Avola red grapes. Deep red cherry colour with a very intense and persistent aroma reminiscent of ripe pomegranate. The wine is warm and full bodied in the mouth.
It perfectly matches with white meats, processed meats, red meats, medium-aged cheeses.
Bright red. Perfumed aromas and flavors of red berries, pear, pomegranate and wild herbs. Finishes smooth, saline and floral, with outstanding length. A little less concentrated than the 2014 but this always strikes me as talented Alessandro Cellai’s (technical director not just of Feudi del Pisciotto in Sicily, but also of Castellare in Chianti Classico and of Rocca di Frassinello in Maremma) as the best wine in the Feudi del Pisciotto lineup.
