Includes 2% viognier, six separate batches (different picking dates and clones), open and static fermenters, matured for 9 months in French oak (15% new). You get a lot of complexity and density for a $20 wine, indeed too much at this stage - a strange situation for a wine priced like this. The fruit crashes through on the finish like a wine with 15% alcohol, not 14%.
