Abadia de Acon is located in the heart of the Ribero del Duero DO. The original winery and cellar is hewn out of rock and clay and is one of the deepest in the region.It is composed of Tempranillo (85%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (15%) fand assembled rom 25 years old vines. The Reserva was aged eighteen months in new French oak barrels and then twenty-four months in the bottle.
The colour is brilliant, dark, cherry-red, with edges garnets. Very intense, sweet, ripe, it reminds of strawberry jam, black fruits in season, Indian ink and licorice. Toasted and smoked notes. Sweet background of vanilla.Mouth is powerful, with a fresh fruit-bearing expressions. Sweet and meaty tannins balance the fruit beutifuly. Long lingering aftertaste.
