A mild season with a lovely aromatics, plumpness, charm and fine tannins. More charm and perfume than past few vintages. Hand-picked and sorted, 20% whole bunches, 18 days on skins. Matured on fine lees in new and used casks for 9 months. Gravity at all stages. Bright, slightly crunchy Pinot, showing dark fruits, highly aromatic, nuance of stems, gentle flavours, plump, spice, supple, charming. Quite fine and composed, good natural acidity. Store it in a cool cellar and this wine will develop further complexity with four to five years 95 pts – JHalliday ‘Deep colour; a luxuriant pinot, red-fleshed plum the primary flavour (flecks of spice and earth hidden within) that fill the mouth, yet leave the finish with a fresh upwards surge. It's future is writ large.’
