Take a jar of honey and drop in all the juicy, ripe and over ripe pineapple, orange and apricot fruits you can squeeze into the jar and you're close. All you need is a bouquet of flowers, vanilla bean and some acidity and you get the picture.
93% Sémillon, 6% Sauvignon, 1% Muscadelle
The 2016 Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey has a perfumed, minerally bouquet that is taut and focused, beautifully defined and very precise. The palate is very well balanced with peach, nectarine and honey on the entry. This is a complex Sauternes, armed with superb acidity and bite, leading to a persistent finish that offers a dab of peaches and cream on the aftertaste. This is excellent. Drink 2021-2060.

Pale lemon colored, the 2016 Lafaurie-Peyraguey gives up bold notions of fresh pineapple, green mango, lemon meringue pie and yuzu zest with touches of beeswax, lime blossoms, toasted almonds and cedar chest. The palate is all class with fantastic poise, purity and precision giving the tropical and citrus layers loads of sparkle through the long finish. Drink 2041-2049.
