‘Marjosse is always a friend of shrewd consumers seeking value-priced Bordeaux.'
Robert Parker jnr.
The up and coming Chateau Marjosse was purchased in 1997 by the very talented Pierre Lurton, managing director & winemaker of Cheval Blanc & Chateau D'Yquem. The estate consists of 65 hectares of vineyards, exceptionally well-sited on a clay and limestone plateau around 300 metres above sea level. 45 hactares are planted with Merlot (60%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%), Cabernet Franc (10%) and Malbec (10%).
The wines are made by Lurton in Chateau Marjosse's refurbished 200 year old cellar are fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel before being raised in French oak. The finished wines are juicy, sleek and among the best value Bordeaux on the market!
