An overtly spicy and floral nose combines a touch of wood with plum, blueberry and earth nuances. There is fine intensity to the relatively refined medium weight flavours that possess good drive and evident salinity on the austere and somewhat strict finish. This will definitely need at least a few years of age as it's presently very tightly wound. Drink 2026+.

(vinified with 20% whole clusters; this wine was racked into tank in August to finish its malolactic fermentation, then back into barrels): Healthy bright red. Tangy dark raspberry, spices, chocolate and a whiff of menthol on the alluring nose. Plush, silky and fine-grained, conveying a slightly medicinal aspect but full ripeness to its dark fruit and floral flavours. Finishes with substantial tongue-dusting tannins and lovely length. Very easy to taste today.
