The Grand Cru Charmes-Chambertin 2016 reveals a beautiful garnet colour. The nose is dense offering aromas of blueberry, nutmeg and smoke notes. The mouth is ample and fresh unveiling notes of licorice and black fruits. A fleshy and tasty wine with delicious persistence.
This is a phenomenal wine that reminds me why I love wine. It's a snowball effect. It has a full body with ultra-fine tannins. It just rolls off the palate. A phenomenal finish. The purity, focus and balance to this is mind-blowing. Three barrels.
