Wanting something a little lighter in alcohol, to finish a lunch? Then the Lana moscato from pizzini is perfect wine. Light, fun, fruity but with a clean finish, would go beautifully with gelato or figs and blue cheese. The wine has intense aromas of musk, citrus, lychee, baked apple, peach and apricot which jump out of the glass.

The palate is creamy and zesty with flavours of lychee, apple and citrus, and a harmonious sweetness, which is balance with lively acidity.
Pair with a traditional northern Italian apple strudel.
Pizzini are makers of Italian wine varieties and are based in King Valley, Victoria. The King Valley has established itself as the home of Italian grape varieties in Australia. The shallow, rocky soils on the gently undulating slopes make perfect sites for Pinot Grigio, Sangiovese and Nebbiolo. While the more fertile zones along the valley floor leading to the King River grow fragrant Brachetto and crisp Prosecco. The wines are made by Joel Pizzini, the vineyards managed by Alfred Pizzini.
Very light green/yellow hue with a persistent cordon of fizz. The aromas are very fresh, clean and lively, absolutely typical of the muscat varieties, the palate nicely sweet as well as fruity, light, easy to quaff and low on tannin and acid. This would be very popular. Chill and drink young.17 NOV 2016
