Fine pale gold. Notes of beeswax, white flowers, ripe peaches and flinty, wet, stone that flow through onto the palate.Roast almonds, hazelnuts, clover honey and warm brioche, along with this wine’s signature tight acidity, give the Elston Chardonnay 2017 incredible length, detail and finesse.
GARY WALSH
Honey biscuits, lemon butter, lime, nectarine and some spicy oak and struck match. It’s glossy, but tight in acidity, that silky honeyed texture, tang and intensity of flavour, strong acid on a pretty long toasty, oatmeal and savoury finish. Always a distinctive wine, and no change this year.
