The orange Cambrian soils on which the vineyard is based, is thought to be some of the oldest soils in the world. The wine is deep dark red with a black core.
Notes of satsuma plums, currants and black cherry with hints of tar, fresh earth and soft spices characterise the nose. lavender are folded into the background.
Medium to full-bodied, with flavours of red to blue fruits weaving across the front palate. Iron rich, scorched earth flavours with hints of bitter chocolate are also evident. Tannins are bold and savoury in nature and are accented with five spice and hints of incense across a long rolling finish.
