Lighter style, red cherry, dusty almost Fernet Branca scent, orange peel and spice. Juicy blood orange tang, red fruited, aniseed/liquorice root, more acid driven, with again a dusty feel to tannin, and a crisp finish of solid length. Nebbiolo, but distinctly regional. Has good energy.

Fruit off the popular Malakoff Vineyard, destemmed, natural fermentation left on skins for 6 months in stainless steel, pressed and aged 14 months in used oak barriques. An attractive rendition with celery seed, poppy bright cherries and rhubarb flavours with the distinct Pyrenees herbal-Campari note.
