60% Pinot Bianco, 25% Chardonnay, 15% Sauvignon Blanc
A composition of Terlano’s three most traditional white varieties, namely Pinot Bianco, Chardonnay and Sauvignon, this old cuvée, which was one of the wines produced when the winery was founded, is an extremely complex wine. Pinot Bianco, as the main variety used in the cuvée, provides the freshness and a good acid structure, while Chardonnay delivers a pleasing warmth and mellowness and Sauvignon adds the fine aromatic character.

This wine is celebrating its 125th anniversary (1893-2018) with this release. The 2017 Alto Adige Terlano Classico is a blend of 60% Pinot Bianco, 30% Chardonnay and 10% Sauvignon Blanc. You get great value at this low price, and some 220,000 bottles were produced. The grapes are slowly fermented in stainless steel, and the wine ages partially in stainless steel (80%) with the remaining part in wood barrel. With frost and heat, this was not an easy vintage, but this classic blend of Alto Adige white grapes owes its performance to the quality of the fruit. Drink 2018-2022
