Pure chardonnay flavours of melon, grapefruit and stone fruit feature with smooth textures and a crisp, mineral-like finish. The mouth-filling, smooth, fruit-salad flavours are harmoniously balanced by a refreshing crisp long finish. On first introduction to this wine you will find an intense aroma of pineapple, guava with a touch of apricot. The palate displays lusciousness that is typical of our Chardonnays: the full round flavours are beautifully balanced by a crisp acidity
The Louis range, named after the French cartographer Louis de Freycinet, is built for immediate enjoyment or short-term cellaring. This is no exception, although is as layered across flavours of stone fruit, nougat, nuts and vanilla pod oak as many a producer's higher end. 50% was fermented in tank, the remainder in oak to retain freshness. Ripe, round and plenty long. I would enjoy it here and now.
