Beginning of 2007 GAIA introduced GAIA S, a new creation that combines the much-loved indigenous Agiorgitiko grape with the French Syrah. You can interpret S whichever way you prefer; S for Syrah but also S for Super Nemea.
The grapes come from GAIA’s private vineyard at upland Koutsi, in Nemea. GAIA S is aged for 12 months in 225 lit. French oak barrels coming from the Nevers & Allier forests in central France. Once bottled, without undergoing any filtering or additional procedures, it is left to mature for at least five months before release to the market.
The result is a particularly deep red black wine with intense aromas, cleanliness and complexity created by perfect and respectful amalgamation of Agiorgitiko and Syrah. Its structure is rich and generous. We strongly believe that kept under good cellar conditions, this wine will improve for years to come.
Remember to decant Gaia S, at least half an hour before you drink it. Its new emerging dimension(s) will excite you!
