Only 1500 bottles (1 Stückfass) were produced of this phenomenal Pittermännchen release! It is a multifaceted, complex Riesling which has stunning fruit presence but is utterly mineral-driven. This is 100% spontaneously fermented and it is produced from a special fruit selection, harvested later than the Dorsheimer. Flinty, salty, funky, leesy nose giving way to pure citrus and stonefruit.
The weathered slate gives the Riesling citrus and peach aromas, herbal-spicy notes as well as a mineral character rich in pressure and tension

Spontaneous fermentation aromas are not a rarity in Nahe Rieslings but they can be very pleasant when they carry the fragrance of a herb garden and are accompanied on the palate by the taste of green fruit and mint. A subtle salty nuance and a smidgeon of kernel add to the surprisingly viscous texture.
