2018 Ambrositsch Gemischter Satz Satellit, Vienna

This year, following the unprecedented and sun-drenched summer of 2018, just “on the other side, by the left shore of the Danube river”, here comes a somewhat sturdy fruit merchant from the sub-district of Stammersdorf with a body mass index of 28, perhaps even 29, who has no inhibitions whatsoever about welcoming tinned pineapple into his well-assorted array of goods so long as – just like, in the figurative sense, this wine from the warm terroir of Unterer Jungenberg – it has been gently heated over the dying embers of bygone Riesling vines.
