Screwcap, organically farmed 60yo vines, gravity winemaking, old foudre aging, pure gamay!
Gamay Noir from 50 year old vines in the village of Quincié-en-Beaujolais. d’Ecussol sounds like some kind of medical cream. Fun fun fun. Blackcurrant, cherry, mint, tea. A cool ‘mineral’ feel, juicy and fresh, gentle lick of tannin, more in to raspberry and spice to taste, good finish, fresh and a little bit slate-y. So enjoyable.
