There are three Eden Valley Riesling Vineyards that contribute to the 2018 Freya blend. Two are situated within the cooler sections of Eden Valley and have east-west row orientations. While the third is located in the much cooler, higher altitude High-Eden sub-region. The vineyards are all hand-harvested in the cool of the morning and then chilled to a further 6ºC before being gently pressed.
100% whole-bunch and berry pressed with only the finest pressings retained. The juice was settled cold and racked clear to begin fermentation. Fermented cool at 12-14C for 3 weeks before finishing sugar-dry. To promote palate texture the wine was held on yeast lees for a further 3 months before being bottled.

Hand-picked, whole-bunch pressed. The citrus and lime blossom bouquet leads into a wonderfully expressive palate, with Roses lime juice flavours filling all the senses. Fruit-sweet until the finish, when crisp acidity dries the mouthfeel.

The wine exhibits scintillating clarity and purity; the elegantly expressed bouquet shows white flesh nectarine, lemon peel and lime sorbet characters with a light accent of white florals. The palate delivers outstanding concentration and focus, wonderfully complemented by refined mouthfeel and razor-sharp acidity, leading to an extremely long, linear finish.

Very fresh lime and lemon aromas with a gently waxy edge, as well as fresh herbs. The palate has impressive finesse and elegance with a sleek, lime and apple-flavored finish. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
