Hand picked at optimum fruit sugar/acid balance, hand de-stemmed (15% whole bunch), cold soaked for 4 days. Wild fermentation with gentle hand plunging for 20 days. Basket pressed to older oak barriques (228L) and allowed to undergo MLF and mature in barrel for 10 months on lees. Explosive on the nose with precise red and blue fruit, a touch of herbaceousness overlays forest floor and slight smoke. Palate is powerful with drive and length, silken tannins crashing over crystalline acidity. A vintage that will develop for decades to come.
