DUE OCT/NOV 2027
A powerful, muscular St.-Estephe for the year with lots of fresh blackberries and black cherries. Full-bodied and tight-grained, with abundant tannins and a compact, medium-long finish. Slightly chewy at the end. 62% cabernet sauvignon, 26% merlot, 10% petit verdot and 2% cabernet franc.

Evident grilled cedar and campfire smoke on the nose, high spice, dark berry fruits, orange peel and earth. You can see certainly imagine that this is a far better wine that would have been made under the former regime, but it is still a far more rustic St Estèphe than the rest of the portfolio. Harvest 23 September to 8 October. 3.63 pH. 20% new oak. Second year of organic conversion, and second vintage under the new Cos d'Estournel team, headed up by Angélique Vigouroux.

Notes of cassis, plums and pencil shavings introduce the 2024 Cos Labory, a medium-bodied, supple and suave wine with a polished profile and a discreetly minty finish.
