Deep, dark tawny-brown colour with green and yellow in the rim. It's very concentrated, reduced and old, showing the density and thickness of evaporation in cask. The bouquet is of toffee, with some raisiny, almost muscat-like overtones. The palate is very concentrated, dense, syrupy and sweet, the depth of flavour is wonderful and the power of the wine awesome. Its length is prodigious and the power is sustained - it lasts and lasts. A gorgeous and dramatic fortified wine. This really is the nectar of heaven.

All Saints avoids the use of the name Topaque in favour of Muscadelle. The deep, burnished walnut colour prepares you for a fortified of some age, something special. So concentrated and mellow, with an immediate immersion in the deep, toffee/nutty complexities of time in barrel. And that’s just the bouquet. What follows is an opulent feast for the senses: malt, honey and raisined fruitcake, finishing fresh and clean. Jeni Port
