Creamy cashew nut and almond meal aromas, with traces of grapefruit: a glorious bouquet. There is wonderful richness and concentration on the palate. Surprisingly, this wine is presently more accessible than the regular Stella Bella chardonnay of the same year. Very complex, generous yet taut: a classic Margaret River chardonnay. Each batch hand-picked, whole-bunch pressed, wild-fermented and matured in French oak (33% new). Wonderfully luscious and complex, yet elegant and fine. How so? It's the balance and the length. Stella Bella certainly knows how to extract every atom of flavour, yet count those atoms to be sure they don't go OTT.
