Aged in second fill barrels, the 2015 Saint-Joseph is another huge success. Sourced from the southern end of this sprawling appellation, off granitic sites, it showcases aromas of crushed stones and discrete pencil shavings, which frame bright cherry notes. It's medium to full-bodied, poised and fresh, with lingering tart berry flavors on a long, stony finish.
92 points Joe Czerwinski The Wine Advocate
(aged for 24 months in new oak) Bright purple. Powerful, spice-tinged aromas of dark fruit liqueur, mocha, pungent flowers and smoky minerals. Smooth and expansive on the palate, offering ripe blackberry and bitter cherry flavors, a sweet vanilla nuance and an exotic touch of fruitcake. Closes on a vibrant floral pastille note, displaying impressive energy, supple tannins and very strong, spicy persistence. Drink 2022-2029.
