A magnificent offering; the immensely complex bouquet shows blackberry, plum jam, cake spice, cocoa and cedar characters with a subtle lift of floral. The palate is superbly concentrated and sumptuous, exhibiting outstanding depth and power, brilliantly framed by velvety tannins. Seamless and impressively long on the finish.

You can easily drink this now but the rip of integrated tannin has it set for a long future. It's awash with complex spice and leather characters, yet forceful through the finish. Licorice, tobacco and dark chocolate notes continue the developed-but-youthful theme. Sweeter citrus candy flavours complete an exotic picture.

Winemaking Notes:
There’s a real freshness to the aroma upon opening, which becomes more and more sophisticated with every minute in the glass. Black pepper, herbs, clove and stewed plums come forward, then they make way for the complex characters that only come with age. Dark soy, leather, chocolate and roast beef gravy.
The palate is tight, fresh and sprightly. It shows spice, developed berry fruits, chocolate and savoury meats with hits of earth and coffee. There’s fresh, clean acidity on the finish giving the wine a youthful brightness that will live on for quite a few more years in the cellar.
