The color is a beautiful golden-green, the nose reveals aromas of honey and spices. Recommended date of consumption: between 2022 and 2026.
Ideal with grilled crustaceans (prawns), foie gras and blue cheeses.
This is always a little denser and richness than many Meursault and right next to Perrières. Full and layered in this year with pretty acidity. But ripe and rich with lots of flavor. So delicious now. Why wait?

The 2017 Meursault 1er Cru Sous le Dos d'Âne (Récolte du Domaine) is showing very well, opening in the glass with a youthful bouquet of green pear, fresh peach, nutmeg, pastry cream and crushed chalk, followed by a medium to full-bodied, racy and incisive palate, with a pretty core of fruit, a bright spine of acidity and a long, precise finish. One of the finest renditions of this bottling that I've tasted, it's a tightly wound Meursault that will reward some bottle age. As is the case across the board, the closure is Diam 10.
