Dark, intense purple hues. Aromas of bay leaf, black fruits and some violet spice. The palate is powerful with fine tannin structure carried by more black fruit with graphite freshness. The wine will reward cellaring.
The previous vintage of this wine blew me away. This has all of the beauty of the 2018 (ripe fruit, dense tannins, long length of flavour) but also has a delicacy ... a space. Remember when exam papers said 'this page has been left intentionally blank'? Well intentional space in a wine allows for time to think, breathe and feel while you drink. This has that. Take your time with it, the tannins are permeating, but the fruit has power. It's all there.
