New wine label from Trent Burge, 6th generation winemaker. The Lifeblood Shiraz is made to be a blockbuster. It comes in a heavy bottle, its sealed with a Diam Cork, its matured for 22 months in a combination of American & French Oak. Its big, syrupy & tannic but you’d have to say that its very good. The cellar beckons. Saturated blackberry & plum flavours come coated in coffee creak oak. The flavours explode onto the palate and then smash into a rock-strewn shore of tannin. It’s a brute of a wine.
