They say that familiarity breeds contempt but ‘they’ hadn’t met Malbec and Bonarda when this phrase was coined. It’s true these two red varieties share many common traits and know each other’s deepest secrets. But both have easy going personalities and are good listeners. They behave like old friends with a proclivity towards warmth and reliability. Excellent table manners and strong relationship with anything grilled give them a ‘good cop/ good cop’ approach that makes any interrogation enjoyable. Their crime is they will encourage you to forget the health surgeon’s warning and breed familiarity with anyone near you.
A unique blend of Malbec and Bonarda grapes coming from the most ancient vineyards of the region. Its vintage is done by hand in little containers of 20kg and then they are fermented in stainless steel tanks. The 15 months aging in new American and French oak barrels, gives spicy and smoky flavors, while its later rest in the bottle, results in a wine of intense flavor but at the same time soft and velvety in the palate.
A wine that happily couples with a great diversity of cheeses, due to its velvet-like texture as well as pasta with meat and risottos.
