The 2019 Lanessan has a ripe, upfront nose that is missing a bit of precision: plenty of liquorice notes coming through. The palate is better with sweet black fruit laced with black pepper and tobacco. The finish is nicely proportioned. I just need to see more delineation and terroir expression once in bottle. Tasted twice with consistent notes.
