Proof again of how well the whites of Pessac have withstood what was a warm, dry summer. Here there is the sculpted feel of a wine that is ready to deliver pleasure and fleshy fruit but tempered and held in place by clear slate and fresh acidities. Great balance on display, with a comfortably big yield of 50hl/ha. Drinking Window 2021 - 2032

The 2019 Latour-Martillac Blanc is distinguished by its sense of texture and power. Lemon confit, chamomile, apricot, almond, sage and dried flowers all flesh out effortlessly. Radiant and generous in feel, the Blanc should drink well upon release.
The 2019 Latour-Martillac Blanc was picked from 3 to 17 September at 50hl/ha and matured in 25% new oak. It has a crisp green apple and lemon thyme scented bouquet, introverted at first but it gradually finds its voice. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity. Subtle tropical notes of pineapple and orange rind with hints of strawberry come through on the finish. Excellent.
